Photo Phriday

This is me and Henry and Henry's new backpack. He is the epitome of high-energy, so this backpack is great for him to wear when we go on runs and hikes. It's the perfect size for a couple of water bottles, a bag full of gluten-free, dairy-free snacks for me and some dog treats for him.

I highly recommend a doggie backpack for pet owners with high energy dogs.

How adorable! I know that's what Cesar Millan suggests, but we can't seem to find them here! Chaser sure could use one of those.

Chaser would do reeeeeally well with one I bet. I got mine at REI (if you don't have them in Canada -- they're an outdoor store) and mine was actually on sale. I believe it was made by Ruff Wear, though Kelty had one too if you ever wanted to search online.

It was funny, the morning after our first backpack run Henry decided to SLEEP IN until 8AM (not his normal 6AM)! It was great because it meant I got to too.

That looks pretty cool, I have never heard of those before. That would be perfect for Queso, but I dont know how much he would like it. :) He's crazy!

oh I totally want one of these! My dog is not so much high energy, but someday I will move back to new england where we can do things like hiking and camping and Puff totally doesn't mind wearing things.

What a wonderful idea. I've never seen them...not that my girl would wear one. She's too interested in mobility, cornering and keeping the whole flowing hair thing going (she's a Shetland Sheepdog).

Haha, Tiff! I can totally relate on the "crazy" thing. Henry's a bit of a wacko, but he took to the backpack pretty well; he didn't even nudge when we were putting it on him.

Puff is so adorable, Jill! She totally looks like the type of dog that was meant to wear a backpack and hike. She can carry all of the yummy food you make!

Natalie, I love shetland sheepdogs! I grew up with a collie so I can totally relate; when she wasn't herding my sister or I she was looking pretty with her beautiful collie fur.

...and I think high energy is an understatement. But he's still a fantabulous dog!

True, Kate! It's more like cracked-out, but I swear he's a different dog with the backpack on. It almost has a calming effect on him... or it could be the sedatives I slip in his water (kidding).
